Why do I need an inspection?
Because you can make a wise and informed decision about your future home. We will give you peace of mind whether you are purchasing, selling, building, making improvements or just checking on a new repair recently completed.
Your home, whether it is your primary residence or a recreational property, is one of the most important investments you will ever make. Be sure you have all the information you need to protect that investment.
Think about it! A home inspection, on average, cost less than 0.1% of the cost of your home. It's your choice. So you can invest 0.1% now and make an informed decision about your present or future property or just jump in blindfolded hoping everything will be fine. And we call tell you from experience, most of the time, it is not fine.
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of a residential dwelling, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed material defects within specific components of said dwelling. Components may include any combination of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, or other essential systems or portions of the home, as identified and agreed to by the Client and Inspector, prior to the inspection process. A home inspection is intended to assist in evaluation of the visible and apparent condition of the dwelling on the date of the inspection, and is not a prediction of future conditions. A home inspection will not reveal every concern that exists or ever could exist, but only those material defects observed on the day of the inspection.
What next? What kind of inspection do I really need?
Alexis Inspection offers a wide variety of inspections to meet your needs:
- - typical home inspection - includes a complete inspection of the whole house and property.
- - partial inspection/consultation - an inspection done only on a specific part of the home. They can include a single element to be evaluated, or multiple elements as needed. A roof inspection, for example, might fall into this category, as would an HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) inspection.
- - maintenance inspection - conducted for those who would like to know more about their present home. This is excellent for individuals who have been in their home for a number of years and may be worried about hidden safety hazards and want to maintain their home properly or for those who have recently purchased their home without a pre sale inspection.

Due to our busy schedule and rush inspections, we cannot guarantee an inspection booked online in the 1 week timeframe. If you need an inspection to be completed before the 1 week period, please give us a call and we will accomodate you the best we can. Same day or next day inspections might be available, so make sure you give us a call.
